Dena Lucchesi, the founder of Denarella designs has always been a crafty person. She has been working with her hands producing something since she was young. Her mother, Patti, started this obsession by always having a new project to keep her and her sister Lea busy.
Being of a mechanical mind also she decide to pursue a education of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University in Indiana. But she always had a side craft project going on! She taught others in her dorm how to decoupage picture frames for a perfect and cheap gift for friends and family. There also was that winter that she wanted to Crochet the world a scarf, and didn’t really come close, but all her family is warm in the winters.
The beginning of Denarella Designs
After a resume of jobs of Computer programmer and Civil Engineer Designer she and her new husband ( September 30, 2006) decided to make the old office into a Craft room for Dena. This room then turned into her office of her new business of Denarella Designs
The Background to the Name
Denarella Designs was a name that Dena’s mom Patti thought up. Even though her dad thinks that he also though of it. Denarella was a nickname that Dena was called when she was young. Dena always felt like cinderella when being ask to do things around the house.
In the Cinderella movie the mice sing this song, which became Dena’s theme song when she would be given things to do.
All I hear is Cinderella, from the moment I get up
till shades of night are falling
There isn't any letup, I hear them calling, calling
"Go up and do the attic and go down and do the cellar, you can do them
both together Cinderella."
So if you replace the Cinderellas with Denarellas that is what you would hear, so since starting your own business is a lot of work, Denarella it will be!
